This is a place for me to write about my life as a stay-at-home mom... my symphony! I will post everything from music lyric ideas (short or long), to news about my day, being a mom, to life events, products I love, and my opinions on several topics. I hope that you will enjoy listening to music in my symphony!

Baby's First Cold on his First Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving always brings great food, and bustle, trekking from one home to another. It was the baby's first Thanksgiving and even though I enjoyed seeing family, it was quite a headache! Loud families, passing around the baby (who has stranger anxiety and no one seems to understand what is necessary to do with a baby like that, mind you), and not to mention, the baby came down with his first cold early in our celebrations. I became a little anxious and nervous myself having to calm the baby after he fussed and cried with relatives, and then with the baby coming down with his first cold. We had the necessary items at home to take care of the baby, but at the first relatives house, it was not with us. So I rapidly felt bad for the poor baby who was not happy to be around others in an environment he was not familiar with, and topped it with a runny nose. He became very fussy. So we went home, gave him the correct medication, calmed him down, and we were able to get some smiles out of the little one. Then we proceeded to the next family's house which went much better. A much quieter environment for a fussy, sick, anxious baby. He got a small nap in, did very well with relatives there, and we did not stay long so that we could get him home and keep him happy and comfortable. Thankfully I have such a healthy baby and his little cold only lasted about three to four days. They were some fussy days, but we got through them! Then we spent the next day as a family, shopping and decorating for Christmas. On to Christmas we go! The baby will be 5 months in few days! Here's to hoping the baby's first Christmas goes much better than his first Thanksgiving!
